The CBTU Ontario Canada Chapter is accepting applications for its annual Ann Newman Scholarship Fund.
The Scholarship is awarded in honour of Ann Newman, a labour and community activist and was established to provide partial scholarships to youth in the Black community pursuing a post-secondary education. One scholarship will be awarded to the successful applicant as chosen by the Fund’s Selection Committee. The scholarship will be $1,000. In the event that 2 applicants are equally qualified, 2 scholarships will be awarded of $500 each.
Deadline for submissions is July 30th and should be sent directly to CBTU Ontario Chapter, c/o Janice Gairey.
